The Macallan Sherry Oak Collection represents The Macallan’s commitment to nature, time and craftsmanship. Once seasoned with fine sherry wines, the exceptional oak casks begin their journey from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain to The Macallan Estate in Scotland, where they are filled with new make spirit from our curiously small stills. Under the watchful eye of our whisky mastery team, the maturation process begins, and nature takes its course, until the very moment each cask is chosen to be part of the Collection.

The Macallan Sherry Oak Collection is comprised of 12, 18, 25 and 30-year-old single malt whiskies, the character of which is beautifully led by European oak casks. Each whisky will transport you on a unique and timeless sensorial journey.

The natural colour of The Macallan is derived entirely from the interaction between our new make spirit and exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks. Years of maturation allow the whisky to develop a complex aroma, texture, depth of flavour and spectrum of beautifully radiant colours.

The Sherry Oak Collection 18 Years Old showcases the influence of exceptional sherry seasoned European oak casks, delivering aromas of treacle tart with stem ginger, soaked raisins and sultanas with orange and ground cinnamon. On the palate, dark chocolate coated ginger with dates and dried apricots, balanced with a hint of oak and vanilla sweetness, with a long finish of dried fruits, ginger and oak.

The Macallan’s unique red colour used in the product design has been created to commemorate the significance of red throughout our history.
