Chateau Odilon 2020 - Baron Benjamin de Rothschild
This château, formerly known as Peyre-Lebade, was renamed in tribute to the renowned painter Odilon Redon, who spent his youth and the greater part of his working life at the estate.

The vineyard is located within the Listrac appellation, but—unusual for Listrac—Merlot is the dominant grape variety here. As a result, the wine is notably softer and more supple than most Listrac wines, and is therefore marketed as Haut-Médoc.

Deep garnet red in colour.
Aromas of black fruit, liquorice, and a hint of orange blossom, followed by notes of toasted wood and vanilla.
The palate is immediately engaging—balanced, with silky, creamy tannins.
Its great elegance and long, lingering finish suggest excellent ageing potential.

Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is a collection of prestigious wine estates, centred around the world-famous Château Lafite Rothschild, already regarded in the 18th century as the finest vineyard in Bordeaux.
