Showing slightly evolved and aged aromas of dried fruit, cassis, licorice and smoke, this is a dark and sultry wine to pair with pork roast stuffed with stewed prunes. The 2013 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Nerento is a mid-weight wine with slightly dusty tannins and a dry finish. That finish is preceded by dark fruit, dried blackberry and spice; however, I recommend a near or medium-term drinking window as a result: 89 Points.
