In the Cognac world Jean Fillioux is the reference that you have to know about. Le Domaine de La Pouyade is situated in Julliac le Coq and encompasses over sixty acres of handsome land, representative of the heart of the Grande Champagne area. The Domaine produces an Eau-De-Vie of rare finesse that is considered as one of the best balanced in the Cognac “Premier Cru” appelation. The Domaine is presently held by Pascal J.Fillioux, fourth descendent of the initial owner, Honorē Fillioux: under his exclusive supervision, the Cognac of the Domaine acquire complex flavours that will flourish through very long ageing in French oak barrels. And today, Pascal J.Fillioux shares this unique heritage with his son Christophe, the fifth generation.
Very floral nose, spring flowers, hawthorn, wild rose, acacia, with some notes of white peach and nectarine. A touch of violet bonbon. Deliciously lively on the palate with some aromas of passion fruit, lemon tart, fried apricot. Long finish with some notes of sweet spices coming through, coriander, cardemom.
