"The Macallan Distillery was founded as a licensed distillery in 1824 at Craigellachie, overlooking the River Spey. The distillery is owned by Highland Distilleries plc.
Golden in colour, this whisky has a mellow, flowery nose with sherry overtones. The taste is rich, smooth and well rounded with a sherry, nutty flavour and a long lingering after-taste, which reflects the superb quality of the whisky. Another excellent after dinner dram of exceptional quality.
This bottling has been done at cask strength, without the whisky having been chill-filtered, thus allowing it to retain the full flavour of the sherry cask in which it has been matured."
