The Macallan Concept No. 3 brings together the worlds of whisky and design through this collaboration with David Carson. As one of the most influential and revolutionary contemporary graphic designers, Carson has brought the unique perspective and method to the design of Concept No. 3. His design is inspired by time spent at The Macallan's estate working alongside whisky maker Polly Logan.
A remarkable number of similarities define the approach to their respective crafts. Both have a curiosity to revisit and evolve their work, creating greater depth by ensuring every element has purpose. The whisky itself has been created to deliver a richness from first fill sherry butts, enhanced by sweetness and spices from ex-bourbon casks, with balance and freshness brought by specially selected refill and virgin oak casks."
