"Each year our Master Distiller, Billy Walker, specially selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouses at GlenDronach Distillery, to be bottled at GlenDronach “Limited Release”. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is a vast selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts to choose from.
Each of these casks display truly remarkable characteristics, the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally during the long maturation process.
Rich sherried characteristics laden with dark treacle and dried fruits. Hints of vintage leather add classic aged depth. Dried prunes hold rich toasted oak spices and roasted coffee beans. Hints of ginger biscuits and dark chocolate appear in the long finish.
