"First licensed in 1826, Glendronach is one of Scotland's oldest working distilleries. Great care has been taken to pursue the use of traditional methods and materials, including coal-fired stills and water from local springs.
Many things affect the final character of a malt whisky. Among these the type of oak cask in which the whisky is matured has an important influence. At Glendronach plain oak casks are used as well as ones which have previously contained sherry. The Glendronach, Matured in Sherry Casks, is a full-bodied malt whisky, rich in colour, with a wellrounded flavour and a lingering after taste. Also available in bottle is the Glendronach Original which is matured in a combination of plain oak and sherry casks."
