Bowmore is home to the world's oldest Scotch maturation warehouse, the legendary No. 1 Vaults. Some of the world's most coveted single malts have been meticulously matured there, steeped in more than 230 years of heritage, matured in the finest casks.
The Port cask-matured deep mahogany twenty-seven year old is released in the Bowmore Vintner's Trilogy, a grape-inspired series imbuing the signature Bowmore flavour with attributes of the finest ex wine, port and sherry casks.
Meticulously double matured, first for thirteen years in ex-bourbon barrels, then for remainder in port pipes, this expression os a triumph of masterful distillation. A luxurious balance of sweet, spice, salt and peat smoke, hints of heather and rosemary on the nose, lead to salty sweet sugarplums and caramel with a tobacco and cranberry finish."
